Large scale, swirling leaves, florals and birds in white on a silvery grey background.
The extra width of this fabric is intended to enable a seam-free quilt back, however it's also terrific for other large projects where the larger scale of the pattern adds drama, such as tablecloths and dresses.
Designed by British William Morris in 1875 for wallpaper, this large-scale design has stood the test of time. The colours and dense pattern look exciting and new when combined when more contemporary designs. The original Acanthus wallpaper required 30 wood blocks to print the full repeat and 15 colours in very subtle shade variations.
